AdvizeMe is an online platform that connects mentors with mentees for guidance, advice, and professional development. We provide the platform only — we do not employ mentors, guarantee outcomes, or take responsibility for the content of mentoring sessions.
3. Eligibility
To use AdvizeMe, you must:
Be at least 18 years old, or have legal guardian consent
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
Use the platform in compliance with New Zealand law
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for:
Providing accurate and up‑to‑date information
Maintaining the confidentiality of your login details
All activity under your account
We may refuse registration or terminate accounts at our discretion.
5. Mentor and Mentee Responsibilities
Mentors agree to:
Provide honest, accurate, and ethical guidance
Not offer services outside their expertise
Comply with all applicable professional and legal obligations
Not provide medical, legal, financial, or other regulated advice unless properly qualified and permitted
Mentees agree to:
Use advice responsibly
Understand that mentoring is not a substitute for professional services
Not misuse or harass mentors
6. Payments and Fees
AdvizeMe may charge fees for mentoring sessions, subscriptions, or platform services. All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) unless stated otherwise.
You agree to:
Pay all applicable fees
Provide accurate billing information
Allow us or our payment provider to process payments securely
Refunds are handled in accordance with New Zealand consumer law and our internal policies.
7. Platform Conduct
You must not:
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Upload harmful, illegal, or infringing content
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse the platform
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on AdvizeMe — including branding, design, text, graphics, and software — is owned by us or licensed to us.
Users retain ownership of content they create but grant us a non‑exclusive licence to display it on the platform as needed.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute platform content without permission.
9. Third‑Party Services
AdvizeMe may integrate with third‑party tools or payment providers. We are not responsible for:

Their privacy practices
Their service availability
Use of third‑party services is at your own risk.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
AdvizeMe is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee:
That mentoring will achieve specific outcomes
That the platform will be uninterrupted or error‑free
The accuracy or reliability of mentor advice
Mentors act independently and are not employees or agents of AdvizeMe.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, AdvizeMe is not liable for:
Losses arising from mentoring advice
Loss of profits, data, or business
Any indirect or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 for non‑business users.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
Breach these Terms
Misuse the platform
Engage in harmful or illegal behaviour
You may delete your account at any time.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in New Zealand courts.
